Design & Style
These vehicles have a lot in common when it comes to exterior design: they’re both boxy and not very stylish. The only noticeable difference is that the Hyundai has a more conventional boxy shape, while the Kia has a strange egg-like shape. In any case, neither of these cars are built with much visual interest. However, since both of them are gas sippers, you won’t mind how they look as long as you aren’t too concerned about your style points.
The 2022 Hyundai Accent and 2021 Kia Rio both offer great interior design, with enough room for you and your family or friends to sit comfortably while you drive. They both offer good legroom, with 2022 Accent providing one inch more than 2021 Rio! While many cars these days are coming standard with leather seats, neither 2022 Accent nor 2021 Rio offers them as an option – although they do both have cloth seats available as an upgrade. One advantage to not having leather seats is that cloth ones are better at regulating body temperature during hot summer days – which means your trip home from work isn’t ruined by sweaty pants!
Technology & Safety
Both cars have a lot of safety features, and they will make you feel safe on a ride. I would recommend the 2022 Hyundai Accent for you if that is what your budget allows. It comes with a backup camera, automatic lights, active cruise control, side-mirror turn signals, etc. In 2021 Kia Rio, however, these features are optional, which can be costly if added at the final delivery stage! In addition to that 2022 Hyundai Accent has some additional driver aids such as lane assist and smart cruise control, which helps drivers while driving in stop and go traffic.
Performance
The 2022 Accent and 2021 Rio models provide adequate performance, but that’s all we can say. The engines aren’t as efficient as we would like; for instance, you will go through 1 tank of gas every 100 miles if you normally drive (this is why it was easier to make a list of things we don’t like about each car). Other than their (below-average) fuel efficiency, both cars perform admirably well on highways and city streets.
The Bottom Line
The 2022 Hyundai Accent is more stylish than ever before, is cheap to purchase, and affordable to operate. When combined with its superior resale value, it’s clear that no other car on today’s market can match what you get with the 2022 Accent.
